This post is a blend of unrelated topics to wrap up our time in Edmonton.
My husband joined us in Edmonton for the last week of our stay. During that week we took care of some errands and had a few evenings out and spent time with family and friends.
One place we visited twice this trip (once with my husband and once before he came) was the Alberta Legislature building and grounds. The grounds have a series of fountains and splash pools and we took the kids there to splash around and beat the heat. The Legislature is a gorgeous building, here are a couple of photos that do not do it justice...

Unrelated to our time at the Legislature, Big Boy did an art project while we were in Edmonton. My dad taught Big Boy some pastel techniques and he created a series of pictures in that medium. On our last evening in Edmonton he presented them as gifts to friends and family.
Lastly, I wanted to share this photo of the climbing structure at Jackie Parker Park. This year Big Boy could climb up and over and then down the wall as well as across. Little Boy could climb all the way to the top.
